If you live in the Caldwell School District, your is a go. Unofficial results show it passed 4,190 to 4,112, and it needed a simple majority. KTVB said election workers kept counting into Wednesday morning after long lines at Canyon County polls.

Idaho Press says the cost works out to about $17.96 per $100,000 of taxable value. KIVI-TV, using a $375,000 average home from Zillow, puts it near $45 a year. The two reports' cost figures differ.

  • Starts: July 1, 2027; ends June 30, 2029
  • Current levy: $4.1 million, so this is an increase
  • Staffing: $3.5 million of the $5.8 million

Most of the levy money goes to staff

I was unloading a box of groceries into bags so I could get them upstairs and a young teenager asked if I needed help.

“I told her that the box was pretty heavy and she picked it up and brought it upstairs made her a little winded. I told her thank you so much very polite young girl I didn’t have any money for her help so I offered her a box of the cereal we had received. She said sure I can use it. Is that weird to offer food for her…”
