- ➤ Toys for Tots is set to secure a new forever home in Treasure Valley — a warehouse backed by nonprofit Astegos that will store donations and expand services for underserved areas. The move will boost local support for families in need. IdahoNews
- ➤ Idaho's largest holiday toy drive is underway in Meridian, led by Newstalk KBOI’s Nate Shelman. Donations of new, unwrapped toys, bikes, and other gift items can be dropped off daily at Sportsman's Warehouse from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. until December 9 + all gifts will benefit Treasure Valley kids in need. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Idaho Transportation Department will narrow Karcher Rd (SH-55) to one lane tonight from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. just west of Indiana Ave for barrier installation. IdahoNews
- ➤ Idaho Fish and Game will begin stocking more than 4,500 catchable-sized rainbow trout in local lakes and ponds this December near Boise River and other key sites; the agency said the program will enhance local fishing opportunities. IdahoNews
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ On Wednesday, Dec. 3, LendingTree’s report ranked Idaho seventh worst for drivers after analyzing auto insurance data including DUIs, speeding, and crashes. Idaho recorded over 43 incidents per 1,000 drivers — a rate lower than in North Dakota but higher than in Michigan and Florida. IdahoNews
