The City of Caldwell invites volunteers to help with leaf cleanup on Saturday, Nov.
14 from 9 a.m. to noon and asks qualifying residents to apply for yard assistance by Friday, Oct. 30; volunteers meet at City Hall parking lot (205 S. 6th Ave).
An America250-branded truck delivered up to 40,000 pounds of donated food in the Treasure Valley for families in need as part of a national anniversary initiative—another truck is slated for Mountain Home in November.
The Idaho Transportation Department launched its third annual Name a Snowplow contest for students in grades 6-12 to submit creative names starting today.
Teachers and homeschool families can enter submissions through October, and winning names will be displayed on state snowplows & honored with a winter safety presentation.
Park staff shared a photo from Sept.
29 showing a bear cub at Lucky Peak State Park — officials advised visitors to keep pets leashed during pet season from Oct. 1 to May 1. The cub was seen near the Discovery and Sandy Point Units.
