University of Idaho researchers discovered a new spider species (Hexura vandal) in north-central Idaho’s moist mountain forests, noting it may be confined to a small, isolated habitat.

The Canyon County Prosecutor plans to drop trespassing charges against an evangelical preacher removed from a Nampa park during the Pride Festival.
Prosecutor Christopher Boyd said the decision upholds First Amendment rights + lets the preacher continue his speech by relocating his table.
The Nampa Police Department is using AI translation technology to translate languages in real time for smoother communication with non-English speakers during field calls, a tool that Detective Jon Davis said helps overcome language barriers at the start of interactions.
