CRIME NEWS

  • Today, Caldwell police are investigating a reported crime at a residence on the 1600 block of Blaine Street — residents are advised to avoid the area around 16th and Blaine.  IdahoNews
  • A man was arrested on Aug. 15 in Caldwell for repeatedly desecrating a gravesite at Canyon Hill Cemetery — trash was dumped and digging occurred near a headstone, and he now faces charges for malicious injury to property and grave desecration.  IdahoNews

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Interstate 84 will close in both directions under the Karcher Interchange on Wednesday night from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for crews to pour concrete and support a new westbound lane—drivers going west will detour at the Northside Interchange and eastbound travelers will use the designated off-ramp—ensuring safe progress on the project.  IdahoNews
