Here's your local news at a glance for Tuesday, the 5th of August.
Good morning, Caldwell.
Caldwell Fire Department is rallying support for retired Fire Battalion Chief Ron Lloyd, who after 27 years of service now needs long-term therapy following two major medical emergencies as his insurance denied coverage.
The department will host a Pint Night Fundraiser on Monday, Aug.18 at 6 p.m. at Loose Screw in Downtown Meridian—those who cannot attend may donate online.
A fatal crash on August 3rd at 3:31 p.m. on northbound State Highway 55 south of Horseshoe Bend claimed the life of a 23-year-old Caldwell motorcyclist when his 2004 Yamaha collided with a 2010 Honda Pilot — emergency crews blocked the road for nearly three and a half hours while investigating the incident.
