The Idaho Department of Labor reported wages rose 4.7% over the past year, yet fast food workers earn a median of $13.91 while operations managers make $38.65.
Gov. Little said the wage gains show the state’s economic strength and afford more opportunities for families.
AAA reports that as of Wednesday, regular unleaded gas rose five cents to $4.20 per gallon in Idaho from Tuesday levels, with prices ranging from $4.15 in Idaho Falls to $4.20 in Boise.

The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare confirmed Canyon County’s first West Nile Virus case yesterday; officials advise residents to use EPA-approved repellent and wear long-sleeve clothing during mosquito peak hours and to remove standing water around their homes.
