The Caldwell Fire Department responded to a structure fire caused by a lightning strike that damaged a home where two people, two dogs, and a cat were safely evacuated—firefighters will use their burnout fund to help the family cover the significant damage.
A local artist, Miguel Angel Almeida, is designing bandanas that feature a farmworker image and heat safety tips to help protect Idaho farmworkers.
He is partnering with the Idaho Organization of Resource Councils to produce the bandanas—designed with vibrant colors inspired by his heritage—and will distribute them across the Treasure Valley.
Northwest Nazarene University broke ground on the Rob Roberts Training Facility to provide 22000 square foot indoor practice space for its baseball, softball and golf programs plus free up the field house for other campus activities.
The new facility honors Rob Roberts, whose steel donation made the project possible.
