The report highlights that crimes against society remain a key area of focus.

The Idaho Transportation Department warns residents about scam texts that claim unpaid traffic violations — these texts include fake links and demand immediate payment.

The department said it does not send such messages — advising residents to delete any suspicious texts and report them to their mobile carrier.

Recall petitions targeting Caldwell municipal government officials were not submitted by the 75-day deadline set by state law and are now void, according to Canyon County Clerk Rich Hogaboam—who said the office strictly followed Idaho Code 34-1704.
