Good morning, Caldwell. Here's your local news at a glance for Tuesday, the 20th of May.

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Today, the City of Caldwell said it did not use public funds to pay for city officials' personal legal representation by noting that Rosholt Law works for officials in their own capacity. The statement comes as Mayor Jarom Wagoner and four council members face a recall effort while previous investigations found insufficient evidence of fund misuse.  IdahoNews

HEALTH NEWS

  • Prostate cancer is the second most common cancer among men in the U.S. and, as of 2022, Idaho had an incidence rate of 110.6 per 100,000; doctors say men should begin annual screening at age 50 until 70 to catch the slow-growing disease before symptoms appear — early detection helps guide treatment options. Dr. Hasan Dani of the Idaho Urologic Institute explained that screening decisions are made with the help of a doctor to weigh the benefits and risks.  IdahoNews

Maximize Space and Stay Organized with Compression Packing Cubes

Don’t overlook compression packing cubes for your next trip — they’re a simple but transformative travel essential. Designed to compress clothing and maximize space, these cubes help you fit twice as much into your suitcase without the bulk.

Beyond just saving space, compression packing cubes keep your luggage neat and organized. Group your outfits by day or category, separate clean and dirty clothes, or designate cubes for different family members when traveling together. No more rummaging through your suitcase — everything stays in its place, easily accessible when you need it.

Lightweight and durable, these cubes are ideal for carry-ons and checked bags alike. They also help prevent overpacking by limiting how much you can fit in each cube. Once you try them, you’ll wonder how you ever traveled without them.
