- ➤ Beloved local rancher Frank Shirts herds nearly 2,400 sheep across Hwy 55 at 10:00 a.m. today for their move to spring and summer grazing lands—onlookers are asked to stay on the side of the road so the flock can pass safely. IdahoNews
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Three Caldwell men pleaded guilty in a fatal 2023 beating that killed Jeremy Jones—Kyle McGinnis received 40 years, Richard Laine got 32.5 years, and Tommy Vallotton received 45 years. IdahoNews
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Idaho Fish and Game will stock over 390,000 rainbow trout that are ready to catch in lakes and ponds this May—480 will go to the Caldwell Rotary Pond with others placed in several regions statewide. The effort will add trout to waters in the Panhandle, Clearwater, Southwest, Magic Valley, Southeast, Upper Snake, and Salmon regions. IdahoNews

- ➤ The Idaho State Park Foster Family Passport program is in its second year and gives foster families free access to all state parks and special outdoor events. The program starts this weekend at Bruneau Dunes State Park and follows a bill that provided $23 million to support child welfare. IdahoNews
