- ➤ Caldwell Firefighters extricated victims after a head-on collision on Simplot Rd—Farmway Rd Thursday afternoon, with three injured individuals transported to the hospital and their condition not known. IdahoNews
- ➤ Firefighters from Mid-Star, Meridian, Eagle & Boise battled a 10-acre grass fire near HWY 16 and Chinden that was driven by strong winds and proved challenging to control. Officials urged residents to exercise caution as the region transitioned into warmer weather. IdahoNews

- ➤ Caldwell Police responded earlier this afternoon to reports that an adult male was found dead in a canal near Lake and Dearborn Ave — detectives and the coroner are investigating the death while his identity is being withheld until next of kin are notified. IdahoNews
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The College of Western Idaho received approval from the U.S. Department of Education to offer its first Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Business Administration and will start the program in the fall—students will gain skills in leadership and management at community college pricing. - ➤ Governor Little signed House Bill 270 today, which updates the state's indecent exposure law to ban public breast exposure and the display of artificial breasts and products that mimic genitals while exempting breastfeeding. Idaho Senate Minority Leader Melissa Wintrow warned the law may lead to more police calls about truck nuts—raising concerns for law enforcement. IdahoNews
- ➤ Governor Little signed HB 83 yesterday to stop illegal entry — but a judge granted a temporary restraining order that blocks its enforcement after the ACLU filed for an injunction over constitutional concerns.
